My Top Five Reads of 2022

My Top Five Reads of 2022

Well, another year over and one. 2022 wasn’t too bad of a year. There was definitely a lot of great books released in the past year. These are my top five books of 2022:

5. I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy – One of the year’s buzziest books, I am impressed how Jennette is able to share the painful details of her life with such empathy and humour.

4. Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng – A bleak novel, but beautifully told and imbued with so much hope.

3. The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Farrell – I spent the entire time reading this novel in nervous anticipation, so it is definitely one of the more memorable books I read in the past year.

2. A Knock at Midnight by Brittany K. Barnett – The most remarkable book I read this year, and the author is an amazingly inspirational person.

And number 1 is (drumroll):

Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel – My most anticipated book of 2022 and written by one of my favourite authors, it did not disappoint.
